Rrrrrroooooar!* (*Dragon-talk for "Happy Halloween!")

Trey was a dragon for Halloween this year.  He is still super into anything that "goes" (trains, trucks, boats, you name it) but I thought we would branch him out into a different interest this year.  I wasn't sure if he would be particularly interested in a dragon, so I bought it and thought I would see his reaction.  I wasn't prepared for an instantaneous recognition of the creature, let alone a reference to a book that he adores about a pet dragon!  He insisted on wearing it the evening I brought it home, making me realize that I must have made a good choice.

We dressed up at school, and my costume idea came after reading the book The Paper Bag Princess by Robert Munsch.  It is one of my favorites to read to my classes, and it worked out perfectly because Trey would be my dragon co-character!

We met up with our friends Jim and Cicely, and their children Enzo, Lauren, and Oliver for our first door-to-door trick or treating experience.  The boys rode in the wagon while we walked and they quickly became old pros at ringing the doorbell and saying "trick-or-treat"!  They were certainly a precious pair of dragons!  (Haha the mommies didn't even collaborate on that idea - we are beginning to channel each others thoughts I guess!)

We have had a happy Halloween with the Tegelers since we moved to Washington.  It was great to continue the tradition with great friends and fun to compare the pictures from the previous years...

We were lucky enough to enjoy lots of family visits this fall also.  Nana and Papa came up at the beginning of October, and Pup came up at the end.  I hope everyone has had a happy beginning to autumn.  Happy Fall everyone!
